Murder Mystery Case: The Museum Gala

A printable whodunit logic puzzle. A printable murder mystery logic puzzle set at a black-tie museum gala: six guests, a missing envelope and one answer you can reach from the clues alone.

Cornelius Vale promised to end the museum gala by naming a forger. Before he could, he was found in the Hall of Minerals and the sealed envelope with the proof was gone. The gala photographer took one picture of each of six guests: one room, one thing in their hands, one time. Read the evidence, work the grid and name the killer, the motive and the time.

This is a single case with a bigger grid than our first volume: six suspects and four lists (where, holding, motive and time), with 25 clues. A program tried every possible arrangement. Only one fits the evidence, and taking away any single clue leaves more than one, so there is nothing to guess and nothing you can skip.

The file has a case briefing with the suspects and motives, the evidence page, a full logic grid with a verdict box, a detective's notes page, and a sealed solution with the reasoning written out step by step. Nothing gory is described, so teens can play too.
