Murder Mystery Case: The Bakery

A printable whodunit logic puzzle. A printable murder mystery logic puzzle: six suspects, a ruined wedding cake, a missing recipe box and one answer you can reach from the clues alone.

Walter Bramble has opened his bakery at six sharp for forty years. This Saturday the wedding cake is on the floor, the recipe box is gone and Walter is in the walk-in cooler. Six people were caught on camera that morning, each in one place, carrying one thing, with one reason to want him gone. Read the evidence, work the grid and name the killer, the motive and the time.

This is a single case with a bigger grid than our first volume: six suspects and four lists (where, carrying, motive and time), with 22 clues. A program tried every possible arrangement. Only one fits the evidence, and taking away any single clue leaves more than one, so there is nothing to guess and nothing you can skip.

The file has a case briefing with the suspects and motives, the evidence page, a full logic grid with a verdict box, a detective's notes page, and a sealed solution with the reasoning written out step by step. Nothing gory is described, so teens can play too.
