Murder Mystery Logic Puzzles, Volume One

Five printable whodunit logic puzzles. Five printable murder mystery logic puzzles, from a warm-up to a six-suspect evening, each with one answer and a step-by-step solution.

Five murders, each told in a short case file: a lighthouse in a storm, a train down the valley, a garden party, a country house library and a harbor at dawn. Every case gives you the suspects, where they were, what they were holding and when they were seen, and a list of plain statements that are all true. Work the grid and the killer is whoever is left in the room where it happened.

Each puzzle was checked by a program that tried every possible arrangement. Only one fits the clues, and taking away any single clue makes the case impossible to solve, so there is nothing to guess and nothing you can skip.

The cases get harder as you go, from a fifteen-minute warm-up with four suspects to a six-suspect case meant for an evening. There is a how-to page for first-timers and full solutions that walk through the reasoning one step at a time, so you can read one step and go back to the grid. Nothing gory is described.

Your files are ready to download right after checkout, and we email you the link.
